World Book Day

A massive congratulations to Ludlow for winning this years WBD Quiz! All the pupils looked fantastic dressed as their favourite book or film characters. Thank you all for your contributions to raise money for African children to be sent books in order to create new wonderful libraries for many communities in need!

Houses of Parliament

Today, Year 6 children were lucky enough to visit the Houses of Parliament in London. I was blown away by the amazing architecture and the fabulous paintings that cover the rooms within the houses. We also saw lots of famous faces such as Clement Atlee's grandson, our local MP Wendy Morton and the infamous Baroness Betty Boothroyd! Mrs Wilson almost fainted! I don't think I will ever forget it!

After Prime Minister's questions, Wendy Morton came out to meet us and answer questions. She said she preferred David Cameron to Boris, the mayor of London, and wasn't going to express her EU opinions just yet. She said she is going to wait until she's got all the facts. She was very, very friendly and even tweeted about us! What a genuinely lovely lady.
